What is the Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme it is necessary to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
1. You must be a citizen of India.
2. Your family income should not exceed Rs.1,50,000.
3. No member of your family should be in government job.
4. No member of his family should appear in Income Tax.
PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana Pib Rooftop Solar Scheme Subsidy Amount:
Total cost of solar system: ₹47,000
Subsidy provided by Government of India: ₹18,000
Hence, if you want to install a 2 kW solar rooftop system at your home, you will have to pay the following amount:
Total Price: ₹47,000
Subsidy: ₹18,000
Balance to be paid: ₹29,000
This means, you will have to pay only ₹29,000, thereby availing a subsidy of ₹18,000. Your home can be supplied with electricity through this solar rooftop system.
This way, you will have to pay only ₹29,000 to get a solar rooftop system installed at your home, while the remaining amount will be provided by the government as a subsidy. This subsidy covers about 38% of the cost of the solar system.
