NTA Inviting Online Applications for National Common Entrance Test [NCET] 2023 for admission to 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP)

NTA conducts the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admissions to teacher training courses in prestigious educational institutions of the country. In accordance with NEP 2020, a four-year teacher training course has been newly introduced in selected IITs, NITs, Central University and other educational institutions across the country. In the context of the release of the NCET-2023 announcement for admissions, the details are given below in brief.

NCET 2023:

National Common Entrance Test: This is done at the National Level. The examination is conducted by the National testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP):

It offers a four-year BED dual-major holistic bachelor's degree in education with specialized subjects (Maths, Computer Science, Chemistry, Economy, Art, Physical Education, etc).

Course Features:

Education in Multi-disciplinary Environment
Four year course after inter
Course as per credit system as specified by UGC
Each student will master one of the school stages listed below, with a focus on 21st century skills. That stage (grade) qualifies to become a teacher.

The stages are:

Foundational Stage Specialization (Preschool to Grade 2)
Preparator Stage Specialization (Grade 3 to Grade 5)
Middle Stage Specialization (up to Grade 6- Grade 8)
Secondary Stage Specialization (up to Grade 9 - Grade 12)

Selection:

Through Computer Based Test (CBT)
The exam will be conducted in 12 regional languages besides English.
In telugu states, the exam will be conducted in English and Telugu language.

Exam Procedure:

The exam consists of four sections in total

Section 1 consists of two languages.
In section 2, questions will be given from the subject chosen by the candidate
Section 3 is a general test
Section 4 is Teaching Aptitude (160 questions will be given in multiple choice mode).

NOTE: There are 26 domain subjects for candidate to choose. Major among them are Accountancy/ Book keeping, Agriculture, Anthropology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Computer Science, Economics/ Business Economics, History, Fine Arts, Legal Studies, Maths, Mass Media/ Mass Communication, Physics, political Science, Sociology, Sanskrit and so on.

The duration of the exam is 180 minutes.

Who can write which Entrance Test?

Candidates who have passed Inter or equivalent course or are going to write Secondary Examinations in 2023 can apply. No upper age limit.
NOTE: Though there is no upper age limit for writing the exam, age limit is as per the rules of the respective universities or institutions providing admissions. Admissions will be provided accordingly.

Admission Institutions:

42 Institutions/ Universities are providing admissions across the country. Out of these there are 3950 seats this year.
Maulana Azad National Urdu University, NIT Warangal, Government Degree College Manchiryala. This course is offered.
IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bhubaneswar, IGNOU, NIT Calicut, NIT Tripura, Puducherry, Sanskrit University of Tirupati, RIT Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Dr. BR Ambedkar University Delhi and others are offering this course.

NCET Notification 2023 | ఇంటర్‌తోనే.. బీఈడీలో ప్రవేశాలు

దేశంలోని ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక విద్యాసంస్థల్లో టీచర్‌ ట్రెయినింగ్‌ కోర్సులో ప్రవేశాల కోసం నేషనల్‌ కామన్‌ ఎంట్రన్స్‌ టెస్ట్‌ (ఎన్‌సీఈటీ)ను ఎన్‌టీఏ నిర్వహిస్తుంది. ఎన్‌ఈపీ 2020 అనుగుణంగా దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఎంపిక చేసిన ఐఐటీ, ఎన్‌ఐటీ, సెంట్రల్‌ యూనివర్సిటీతో సహా ఇతర విద్యాసంస్థల్లో నాలుగేండ్ల టీచర్‌ ట్రెయినింగ్‌ కోర్సును కొత్తగా ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. వీటిలో ప్రవేశాల కోసం నిర్వహించే ఎన్‌సీఈటీ-2023 ప్రకటన విడుదలైన నేపథ్యంలో ఆ వివరాలు సంక్షిప్తంగ

ఎన్‌సీఈటీ

నేషనల్‌ కామన్‌ ఎంట్రన్స్‌ టెస్ట్‌. దీన్ని జాతీయస్థాయిలో నిర్వహిస్తారు. నేషనల్‌ కౌన్సిల్‌ ఫర్‌ టీచర్‌ ఎడ్యుకేషన్‌ (ఎన్‌సీటీఈ) తరఫున నేషనల్‌ టెస్టింగ్‌ ఏజెన్సీ (ఎన్‌టీఏ) ఈ పరీక్షను నిర్వహిస్తుంది.

ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్‌ టీచర్‌ ఎడ్యుకేషన్‌ ప్రోగ్రామ్‌.

ఇది నాలుగేండ్ల బీఈడీ డ్యూయల్‌-మేజర్‌ హోలిస్టిక్‌ బ్యాచిలర్‌ డిగ్రీ ఇన్‌ ఎడ్యుకేషన్‌తో పాటు స్పెషలైజ్డ్‌ సబ్జెక్టులతో (మ్యాథ్స్‌, కంప్యూటర్‌ సైన్స్‌, కెమిస్ట్రీ, ఎకానమీ, ఆర్ట్‌, ఫిజికల్‌ ఎడ్యుకేషన్‌ తదితరాలు) దీన్ని అందిస్తారు.

తెలుగు రాష్ర్టాల్లో ఇంగ్లిష్‌, తెలుగు భాషలో పరీక్ష నిర్వహిస్తారు.

పరీక్ష విధానం

మొత్తం నాలుగు సెక్షన్లలో పరీక్ష ఉంటుంది

సెక్షన్‌-1లో రెండు లాంగ్వేజ్‌లు ఉంటాయి. సెక్షన్‌-2లో అభ్యర్థి ఎంచుకున్న సబ్జెక్టు నుంచి ప్రశ్నలు ఇస్తారు

సెక్షన్‌-3 జనరల్‌ టెస్ట్‌,

సెక్షన్‌-4 టీచింగ్‌ ఆప్టిట్యూడ్‌

మల్టిపుల్‌ చాయిస్‌ విధానంలో 160 ప్రశ్నలు ఇస్తారు

నోట్‌ : అభ్యర్థి ఎంచుకోవడానికి 26 డొమైన్‌ సబ్జెక్టులు ఉన్నాయి. వాటిలో ప్రధానంగా.. అకౌంటెన్సీ/బుక్‌ కీపింగ్‌, అగ్రికల్చర్‌, ఆంత్రోపాలజీ, కెమిస్ట్రీ, ఎన్విరాన్‌మెంటల్‌ స్టడీస్‌, కంప్యూటర్‌ సైన్స్‌, ఎకనామిక్స్‌/బిజినెస్‌ ఎకనామిక్స్‌, హిస్టరీ, ఫైన్‌ ఆర్ట్స్‌, లీగల్‌ స్టడీస్‌, మ్యాథ్స్‌, మాస్‌ మీడియా/మాస్‌ కమ్యూనికేషన్‌, ఫిజిక్స్‌, పొలిటికల్‌ సైన్స్‌, సోషియాలజీ, సంస్కృతం తదితరాలు ఉన్నాయి.

పరీక్ష కాలవ్యవధి 180 నిమిషాలు

ఎవరు ఏ ఎంట్రన్స్‌ టెస్ట్‌ రాయవచ్చు ?

ఇంటర్‌ లేదా తత్సమాన కోర్సు ఉత్తీర్ణులు లేదా 2023లో ఇంటర్‌ సెకండియర్‌ పరీక్షలు రాయనున్నవారు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చు గరిష్ఠ వయోపరిమితి లేదు

నోట్‌ : పరీక్ష రాయడానికి ఎటువంటి గరిష్ఠ వయోపరిమితి లేనప్పటికీ ప్రవేశాలు కల్పించే ఆయా విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు లేదా విద్యాసంస్థల వారి నిబంధనల ప్రకారం వయోపరిమితి ఉంటుంది. దానికి అనుగుణంగానే ప్రవేశాలు కల్పిస్తారు.

ప్రవేశాలు కల్పించే సంస్థలు

దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 42 సంస్థలు/ యూనివర్సిటీలు ప్రవేశాలు కల్పిస్తున్నాయి.

వీటిలో ఈ ఏడాది 3950 సీట్లు ఉన్నాయి.
