The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the state is invited the subject above and are informed that, the Department of School Education, Govt. of Telangana, in association with K12 Activity Academy Pvt. Limited, is organizing a "Do-it-Yourself (DIY) Hackathon" in online mode, on 20th June, 2023 as a part of Telangana Dashabdhi Utsavalu.The event aims to inspire and challenge students to explore various concepts of Science and Math and create practical working kits. These kits will be constructed using recyclable, reusable, and easily accessible materials found in their local environment.
SCERT Tele-conference on science hackathon DIY (Do This Yourself)
Who can participate: Students of class 8-10 of schools working in Govt. Sector(Govt, ZP, KGBV, TSMS, Residential schools).
How do Students participate: Students can participate as teams. They can form a team of upto 4 students along with a teacher. Participants will be given a list of topics to choose from. They can choose any number of topics. They can come up with as many ideas as possible to explain these concepts using practical kits. The cost of each kit shall not exceed two hundred rupees.
How to submit the idea:
1. Students will get access to the concepts on 12th June, 2023 by visiting the website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in.
2. They will have to explain a concept with the help of a practical kit that they build.
3. Students will make a short video explaining the concept and the demonstration of the kit.
4. The video should not exceed 2 mins.
5. They shall upload this video on their YOUTUBE channel and ONLY share the link in the website by 4:00 p.m. on June 20, 2023.
6. They can submit any number of such concepts and videos.Students can visit the official website of the School Education, by clicking on the link https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in. and then clicking the "Science Hackathon" icon which appears on the home page.
7. After opening the site, they can select "Submit Project' button, fill the form where the team has to paste the link of the YouTube video along with other details and click submit.
How the entries are graded:
1. 10 points for Explaining Concept and quality of the video
2. 30 points for Practical kit built.
3. 30 points for creativity /uniqueness/ originality in kit and cost of kit.
4. 30 points for number of ideas submitted by group. The following are additional details regarding conduct of the event.
Date of event: 20th June, 2023
Timing: 10.00am to 4.00 p.m for furnishing the required information and providing YouTube link in the official website.
Venue: In their respective schools
Mode: Online
All students who participate in the Hackathon will be awarded an e-certificate.
Therefore all the District Educational Officers are requested to give wide publicity through print and electronic media to facilitate larger participation of students and teachers in the said Hackathon. Further, it is requested to communicate the guidelines and information of the Hackathon to all Government Secondary Schools in their respective districts and ensure maximum participation of students

*🔴దేశంలో మొదటిసారిగా పాఠశాల విద్యార్థులకు డు ఇట్ యువర్ సెల్ఫ్ (స్వయంగా నువ్వే తయారుచేయ్) అనే ఉద్దేశంతో 8-10వ తరగతి విద్యార్థులు స్వయంగా సమస్య - పరిష్కారం అనే నినాదంతో నూతన ప్రయోగానికి రాష్ట్ర విద్యాశాఖ తెరతీసింది. . బుధవారం రాష్ట్ర విద్యాశాఖ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఆర్జేడీ, డీఈవో, డీఎస్వో, ఎంఈవోలతో ఆన్లైన్ మీటింగ్ జరిగింది. ఈ సమావేశంలో రాష్ట్ర విద్యాశాఖ కార్యదర్శి,ఎస్సీఈ ఆర్టీ డైరెక్టర్ రాధారెడ్డి,ఏఎస్పీడీ రమేష్ తోపాటు ఈ పథకం కోఆర్డినేటరు ఫణి కొండేపూడి తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు. విద్యార్థుల్లో శాస్త్రీయ అవగాహన, పరిశోధన పట్ల ఆసక్తి, సమస్య పరిష్కారం కోసం అవగాహన కలిగించడం కోసం హెకాతాన్ కార్యక్రమం చేపట్టినట్లు విద్యాశాఖాధికారులు తెలిపారు.*

*🎯ఎవరెవరు పాల్గొనవచ్చు: 8- 10వ తరగతి విద్యార్థులు. ఒక్కొక్క గ్రూపులో నలుగురు ఉండాలి. ఒక స్కూల్ నుంచి ఎన్ని గ్రూపులైనా పాల్గొనవచ్చు. కేవలం ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాల విద్యార్థులే పాల్గొనాలి.*
*🎯సబ్జెక్టులు : ఫిజికల్ సైన్స్, బయోలాజికల్ సైన్స్,గణితం 70 రకాల కాన్సెప్ట్ లు ఉంటాయి. మూడు సబ్జెక్టులకు సంబంధించిన సమస్యలు ఉంటాయి. విద్యార్థులు స్వయంగా తాము ఎంచుకున్న సమస్యను పరిష్కరిం చడం కానీ కొత్త ఐడియాలు కానీ, ఆలోచనలతో రెండు నిమిషాల నిడివితో వీడియో రూపొందించుకో వాల్సి ఉంటుంది. విద్యార్థులు తయారు చేసే కిట్ విలువ రూ.200 మించి ఉండరాదు. ఈ నెల 20న మాత్రమే య్యూటూబ్ లో అప్లోడ్ చేయాలి. విద్యా ర్థుల ఆలోచనలు ఒక కిట్ రూపంలో తయారు చేసి య్యూటూబ్ లో అప్లోడ్ చేసిన వీడియోలు పోటీల్లో ఉంటాయి.వీటిలో ఉత్తమమైన వీడియోలను ఎంపిక చేసి అన్ని పాఠశాలలకు పంపడం జరుగుతుంది.
