The YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme's Key Features
1. Fishermen's welfare -The primary goal of the Andhra Pradesh government is to safeguard the survival of the state's impoverished fishing community. Financial assistance will allow fishermen to maintain their traditional employment.
2. Financial support during the lean season - The central government has declared a no-fishing period in order to conserve the marine eco-system. The period of no fishing helps to increase the amount of fish in the seas and oceans. During the 60-day no-fishing period, fishermen were given a Rs. 4000 assistance subsidy. The Chief Minister, on the other hand, upped the assistance stipend to Rs. 10,000.
3. Fuel subsidy - The Andhra Pradesh government already provides a diesel subsidy to fishermen who possess mechanised boats. The diesel subsidy rate has been raised from Rs. 9 per litre to Rs. 6.03 per litre.
4. Ex-gratia payment - In an earlier declaration, the Chief Minister stated that the state government will provide an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 5 lakh to the fishermen's families. However, in order to give better financial assistance, the sum has been raised to Rs. 10 lakhs.

1. Offline registration - According to a poll, most middle-aged and senior fishers will be unable to complete the online application process. As a result, the applicants' registration will be done manually.
2. Navasakam Scheme - The YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme is part of the Navasakam Scheme. The state administration declared that all initiatives under the Navasakam Scheme shall be registered by volunteers.
