Notification for engagement of Apprentices under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973, Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited, Vijayawada, invites online applications from eligible Graduate / Diploma holders in Electrical Engineering (those who have passed during the year 2021-22 can apply. Further those who qualify the course in succeeding years can apply before completion of one year from the date of passing) for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.
Graduate & Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
Nationality: Shall be a citizen of India & Resident of Andhra Pradesh.
Minimum educational qualifications:
A. Graduate Apprentices:
• A degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Technology granted by statutory University.
• A degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
B. Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
• A Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
AGE:
Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules, i.e 18 years and above.
RESERVATION OF VACANCIES:
Guidelines under Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be followed. Who are claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PWD shall provide certificate as per Government standard format, failed which their claim for reservation will be considered as 'General' category only. If BC candidates claiming OBC category, they should bring OBC certificate as per the Govt. prescribed (OBC) format from the certificate issuing authority or Tahsildar.
DURATION OF TRAINING:
The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973.
PREVIOUS TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are not eligible to apply
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The selection criteria will be based on merit of final percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in their Graduate course and Diploma course. The shortlisted candidates will be informed for document verification and joining through e-mail: gmhrapcpdcl@gmail.com to their registered e-mail ID.
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:
TRAVEL EXPENSES: No TA/DA will be paid for attending certificate verification.
BOARDING / LODGING: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.
The engagement and training are strictly in compliance with the provision of the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973 and there is no obligation for employment of Apprentices on completion of their training. The Apprentice, after completion of the training shall have no right to claim any employment in APCPDCL.

Enrollment of Online Application for Apprenticeship through NATS portal in www.mhrdnats.gov.in: 07.04.2023
Certificate verification and Date of joining will be intimated by Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited, Vijayawada at a later date.
