The exam consists of two papers in multiple choice questions. There will be no break between papers.
1). Paper-1: For 100 marks
The first paper is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
2). Paper-2: 200 marks.
The second paper will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Both the papers have objective type questions
Examination Procedure:
The test is administered in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
Medium of the questionnaire: English
Age limit and relaxation:
JRF: Not to exceed 31 years as on 01.03.2021 (this age limit is for current test only).
Assistant Professor:
There is no age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
Educational Qualification: PG in the relevant subject is required.

Apply online at https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/ website.
Selection Procedure:
The Test will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
The candidates who desire to appear in the Test may see the details in the Information Bulletin for UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) which will be available on the website www.nta.ac.in, and https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in from 02 February, 2021.
The online application form will open on 02 February 2021. Candidates who desire to appear for the exam are required to apply online between the dates 02 February 2021 to 02 March 2021. The Application Fees can be paid upto 03 March 2021.
