GOAL – Going Online As Leader
“GOAL - Going Online As Leaders - has been launched by ribal Affairs Ministry. This programme is in partnership with Facebook. In order to provide holistic socio economic development of tribes the GOAL programme is designed to provide mentorship to tribal youth through digital mode APSSDC-Facebook-Collaboration-on-tribal-youth-online-training-GOAL-Apply-online-apssdc.in
About GOAL:
Going Online As Leader GOAL is a digital literacy and metorship initiative ,under the motto "Education is the key intervention that will open doors to a better world". Driven to empower and enable Inidas tribal youth, the key is to identify, mobilise and connect renowned leaders from the industry, who can personally member youth from tribal communities
Objective:
To Empower tribal youth through mentorship, leadership training and
digital literacy skills to learn new ways of doing business, explore and connect with
domestic and international markets.
Outcome:
GOAL Programme will provide economically and socially marginalised
young youth / women with the tools and guidance they need to succeed, using the
technologyand help them become entrepreneurs by providing various establishment
linkages for marketing products through Facebook, Watsapp, Twitter etc.
Target:
The key is to identify, mobilise and connect 2500 renowned leaders from the
industry, who can personally mentor 5000 youth from tribal communities across the
country.
Course Curriculum:
Total duration of the course is 9 months in which, 7 months is
for mentorship and 2 months is for internship of the programme.
The following are the sectors:
1. Agriculture
2. Art & Culture
3. Handicrafts & Textiles
4. Health
5. Nutrition
The following are the courses:
1. Public Speaking and confidence.
2. Entrepreneurship and Leadership
3. Readiness and training.
4. Digital Skills literacy.
Selection Process:
Selection of the tribal youth will be for Mentors & Mentees
depending upon the skills required for the relevant field opted by the youth.
The following are the benefits for Mentees:
1. Smartphone with one-year internet access
2. Joint certificate of participation by MoTA and Facebook
3. Letter of recognition by Mentor
4. Opportunity to intern in a reputed private / government organization
5. Strong visibility and recognition at local/ state/ national level
6. Opportunity to interact with industry leaders
7. Priority access to Facebook and MoTA events at State/ National level
The following will be the recognition for mentors under this program:
1. Joint Certificate of participation by MoTA and Facebook
2. Opportunity to interact with like-minded peer group including industry
professionals, influencers etc.
3. Priority access to state level events organized by MoTA or Facebook
4. Profile will be showcased on Portal as Mentor
5. Opportunity to meet business and political leaders
Eligibility for Mentee:
Any youth from tribal communities between 18-35 years of
age who has keen interest in business, education, art, culture, dance, health, politics,
research, entrepreneurship can apply as mentee.
Eligibility for Mentor:
Experts in the field of business, education, health, politics,
arts and entrepreneurship among others and can inspire, guide and encourage the tribal
youth to become village-level digital young leaders for their communities can apply to
become a mentor.
