సుప్రీంకోర్టు ఆదేశాల ప్రకారం ఆధార్‌ను బ్యాంక్ ఖాతాతో లింక్ చేయడం తప్పనిసరి కానప్పటికీ, రాష్ట్ర, కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం దీని ఆధారంగా పనిచేస్తున్నాయి. కరోనా కోవిడ్ 19 కారణంగా, కొంత మొత్తాన్ని నేరుగా బ్యాంక్ ఖాతాలకు బదిలీ చేయడం ద్వారా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు మరియు భారత ప్రభుత్వం పేద ప్రజలకు ఆర్థికంగా సహాయం చేస్తోంది. ఖాతాలను ఆధార్‌తో అనుసంధానించనందున ఆ మొత్తాన్ని ఖాతాలకు బదిలీ చేయడంలో విఫలమయ్యారని ప్రభుత్వాలు చెబుతున్నాయి. కాబట్టి ఆర్థిక పథకాల ప్రయోజనాలను పొందడానికి, బ్యాంక్ ఖాతా ఆధార్‌తో అనుసంధానించబడి ఉండాలి. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర పాలన వారు రూ. 1500 / ఈ సమస్య కారణంగా కొంతమందికి. కేంద్ర ప్రాయోజిత పథకాలు ప్రధాన్ మంత్రీ జన ధన్ యోజన, పిఎం కిసాన్ సమ్మన్ యోజన కూడా ఆధార్ బ్యాంక్ ఖాతాను అనుసంధానించే స్థితిని తనిఖీ చేస్తారు. భారతదేశ పౌరులకు గృహ రుణాలు, వ్యక్తిగత రుణాలు వ్యాపార రుణాలు ఇచ్చేటప్పుడు బ్యాంకులు ఆధార్ బ్యాంక్ ఖాతా మ్యాపింగ్ స్థితిని తనిఖీ చేస్తాయి. కాబట్టి భారతదేశంలోని ప్రతి పౌరుడు తమ ఆధార్‌ను బ్యాంక్ ఖాతాతో లింక్ చేయాలి.

Link Aadhaar Card To Bank Account

As per the Supreme Court ruling, it is not mandatory to link your Aadhaar with your bank account anymore. However, if you want to you can go ahead and link your Aadhaar with your bank account, do remember that this is not mandatory anymore. Here are the steps you can follow if you choose to link your Aadhaar with your bank account.The Government of India provides subsidies under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes for all government welfare schemes in bank accounts of the beneficiaries. In order to avail these subsidies, the beneficiary is required to link his Aadhaar with the welfare scheme to receive funds in the bank account.

A beneficiary can link his bank account with Aadhaar online, through mobile banking, SMS, phone banking, ATM or by visiting the bank. If no bank account is linked with Aadhaar, there will be issues while transferring the subsidy under DBT in the beneficiary’s account. You can check whether you have a bank account linked with Aadhaar by visiting UIDAI’s website.

How to  Link Bank Account with Aadhaar at ATM

To link your Aadhaar to your bank account at an ATM, these are generally these steps hav to  be followed :

1. Visit your bank’s ATM.
2. Insert your debit card associated to your bank account and enter the PIN.
3. From the options on the screen, choose one that allows you to link your Aadhar.
4. Enter your Aadhaar number (you may need to re-enter it for confirmation).

 Linking Aadhaar to Your Bank Account using Net Banking

To link your Aadhaar and bank account, you can do so via internet banking as well. Here are the steps to be followed :

1. Log into your internet banking portal.
2. Navigate to the section to link your Aadhaar and bank account.
3. Select the account(s) you wish to link, enter your Aadhaar number, and hit ‘Submit’.
4. The last two digits of your registered mobile number will be displayed on the screen.
5. The status of your request to link your Aadhaar will be sent to you via SMS.
6. Note: The steps mentioned here and in the last section are those followed by the State Bank of India. Other banks follow similar steps. To know the exact steps, please visit your bank’s website.

How to Link Your Bank Account with Aadhaar Through Mobile App

To Link Your Bank Account with Aadhaar Through Mobile App these steps are to followed:

1. From Google Play Store or App Store Download the mobile banking app 
2. Open the app and enter credentials associated with your account (username and password). If there is any security verification, complete that too.
3. Click on “Requests”/”Service” Requests” or any other variation.
4. Look for an option that says “Link Aadhaar”/”Update Aadhaar Number” or any other variation.
5. Select the account to which you would like to link your Aadhaar.
6. Enter your Aadhaar number (you may be asked to re-enter it for confirmation).
7. Accept any terms and conditions, if applicable.
8. Select “Update”/”Confirm” or any other variation.

Linking  Bank Account with Aadhaar through Branch

The steps are to followed  to link your Aadhaar and your bank account :

1. Visit your bank’s branch.
2. Carry your Aadhaar  Card
3. Fill in arequest Letter.
4. Submit the form along with a copy of your Aadhaar.
5. After the verification process is complete, the branch will link your Aadhaar and your account.
6. You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number with information on the status of your request.

How to  Update Aadhaar Number Through Phone Banking

If your bank offers Phonebanking, you may be able to link your Aadhaar with your bank through this mode. You will have to call the Phonebanking number, listen to the prompts and select the option that allows you to do the bank account-Aadhaar linking. You will be asked to enter your Aadhaar number and confirm it by saying “Yes” or entering something (as prompted) on your phone to complete the process.

How to Check If Your Bank Account Has Been Linked with Aadhaar

In most cases, you will be notified of the status through an SMS on your registered mobile number or email address with the bank.If you plan on linking your Aadhaar to your bank account, you are unlikely to find any information on how to check the status of your request on the UIDAI website. You will have to speak with your bank to know if your account and Aadhaar have been linked.
Previously, however, you could check if your Aadhaar and your bank account were linked via the UIDAI website.

The steps that were followed in this process were:

1. Visiting the official website at "https://uidai.gov.in/".
2. You then had to navigate to the ‘Aadhaar service’ category and select ‘Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking status’.
3. Once that was done, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar and the captcha provided. An OTP would then be sent to your registered mobile number.
4. On entering the OTP and logging in, a screen with the status of your request would be displayed.
5. If the linking was successful, the page would read ‘Congratulations! Your bank Aadhaar mapping is done’.
6. Do note that the above steps may not be valid any longer. If you wish to link your aadhaar card to your bank account, please get in touch with the bank.
