ఈ పోస్టులను ఇండియన్‌ నేవీ ఎంట్రన్స్‌ టెస్టు (ఐనెట్‌) ద్వారా భర్తీ చేస్తారు. రెండు గంటల వ్యవధితో నిర్వహించే ఈ పరీక్షలో 100 మల్టిపుల్‌ ఛాయిస్‌ ప్రశ్నలు వస్తాయి. వీటిని ఇంగ్లీష్‌, రీజనింగ్‌ అండ్‌ న్యూమరికల్‌ ఎబిలిటీ, జనరల్‌ సైన్స్‌, మ్యాథమెటికల్‌ ఆప్టిట్యూడ్‌ అండ్‌ జనరల్‌ నాలెడ్జ్‌ విభాగాల నుంచి అడుగుతారు. ఒక్కో విభాగం నుంచి 100 మార్కులకు ప్రశ్నలు ఇస్తారు. నెగిటివ్‌ మార్కింగ్‌ కూడా ఉంది. ప్రతి తప్పు సమాధానానికీ ఒక మార్కు చొప్పున తగ్గిస్తారు. పరీక్షను వచ్చే ఏడాది ఫిబ్రవరిలో నిర్వహిస్తారు. పరీక్షలో సాధించిన మెరిట్‌ ఆధారంగా షార్ట్‌లిస్ట్‌ చేసిన వారికి ఎస్‌ఎస్‌బీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఇంటర్వ్యూలు ఉంటాయి. ఇంటర్వ్యూలను ఏప్రిల్‌లో కోల్‌కతా, బెంగళూరు, భోపాల్‌, కోయంబతూర్‌, విశాఖపట్నంలలో నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఇందులో స్టేజ్‌-1, స్టేజ్‌-2 అనే రెండు దశలు ఉంటాయి. ఇందులోనూ ప్రతిభ చూపిన వారికి వైద్య పరీక్షలు నిర్వహించి తుది నియామకాలు చేపడతారు.
ఎంచుకున్న పోస్టును బట్టి సంబంధిత సబ్జెక్టుల్లో బీఈ / బీటెక్‌, ఎంఎస్సీ, బీఎస్సీ, బీకామ్‌, బీఎస్సీ (ఐటీ), పీజీ డిప్లొమా / ఎంబీఏ, ఎంసీఏ, ఎంఎస్సీ (ఐటీ), డీజీసీఏ జారీ చేసిన కమర్షియల్‌ పైలట్‌ లెసైన్స్‌ (పైలట్‌ ఔత్సాహికులకు). నిర్దేశించిన విధంగా శారీరక ప్రమాణాలు తప్పనిసరి. ఆయా పోస్టులను అనుసరించి 1996, జనవరి 2 నుంచి 2000 జూలై 1, 1996, జనవరి 2 నుంచి 2001 జూలై 1, 1997, జనవరి 2 నుంచి 2002 జూలై 1 తేదీల మధ్య జన్మించి ఉండాలి.
2021 నుంచి శిక్షణ
ఎంపికయిన వారికి శిక్షణ తరగతులు జనవరి 2021 నుంచి మొదలవుతాయి. ఆయా విభాగాలను అనుసరించి ఇండియన్‌ నేవల్‌ అకాడమీ, ఎజిమాల (కేరళ)లో శిక్షణ ఉంటుంది. అటుపై నేవల్‌ ట్రైనింగ్‌ ఎస్టాబ్లిష్‌మెంట్‌లో ప్రొఫెషనల్‌ శిక్షణ ఇస్తారు. అనంతరం విధుల్లోకి తీసుకుంటారు. ప్రారంభంలో సబ్‌ లెఫ్టినెంట్‌ హోదా కేటాయిస్తారు. వీరు నేవీలోని వివిధ విభాగాల్లో లెవెల్‌-10 ఆఫీసర్‌ హోదాతో విధులు నిర్వర్తించవచ్చు. మొదటి నెల నుంచే రూ.56,100 మూలవేతనం అందుకోవచ్చు. అన్ని ప్రోత్సాహకాలూ కలుపుకుని నెలకు రూ. లక్షకు పైగా వేతనం లభిస్తుంది.
