‘ఎం–పాస్‌పోర్టు సేవ’ యాప్‌తో వ్యయప్రయాసలకు చెక్‌, ఇంటి నుంచే దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చుగతంలో పాస్పోర్ట్ కోసం వ్యయప్రయాసల కోర్చి సుదూర పట్టణంలోని పాస్పోర్ట్ కార్యాలయం ముందు బారులుతీరేవారు.అయితే ప్రస్తుతం గతంలో మాదిరి పాస్పోర్ట్ కార్యాలయాల ముందు పడిగాపులు తప్పాయి.పాస్పోర్ట్ దరఖాస్తు కష్టాలకిక కాలం చెల్లింది. అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చిన సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానం కష్టాలను దూరం చేసింది. ఇన్‌స్టాల్‌.. ఎంటర్‌.. సబ్‌మిట్‌.. అనే మూడు ప్రక్రియలతో పాస్పోర్ట్ ఇంటికొచ్చి చేరుతుంది.
ఎం–పాస్పోర్ట్ సేవ’యాప్‌ను ఆండ్రాయిడ్‌ వినియోగదారులైతే గూగుల్‌ ప్లే స్టోర్‌లో, ఐఓఎస్‌ వినియోగదారులైతే యాప్‌ స్టోర్‌ ద్వారా ఇన్‌స్టాల్‌ చేసుకోవాలి.
నకళ్లు హల్‌చల్‌ చేస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో మూడు సింహాల లోగోతో పాస్పోర్ట్, రిపబ్లిక్‌ ఆఫ్‌ ఇండియా అనే అక్షరాలను గమనించాలి.
ఇన్‌స్టాల్‌ చేసిన వెంటనే ‘ఎం–పాస్పోర్ట్ సేవ’ ఆంగ్ల నామంతో భారతదేశ చిత్రపటంతో కూడిన నీలిరంగు చిత్రం దర్శనమిస్తుంది.
తర్వాత మనకు కనిపించేదే హోమ్‌ పేజీ. అందులో పాస్పోర్ట్ దరఖాస్తుకు సంబంధించిన 10 రకాల సేవలు అందుబాటులో ఉంటాయి.
నూతనంగా దరఖాస్తు చేసుకునేవారు అందులో ఉన్న న్యూ యూజర్‌ రిజిస్టర్‌ అనే అంశాన్ని ఎంచుకోవాలి.
తొలి ఎంపిక దరఖాస్తుదారుడు ఏ పాస్పోర్ట్ కార్యాలయం పరిధిలో నివాసం ఉంటున్నాడు, తర్వాత సాధారణమైన వివరాలు, పేరు, ఇంటి పేరు, పుట్టిన తేదీ, అందులోనే ఓ యూజర్‌ ఐడీ, పాస్‌వర్డ్‌ని ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుంది.
దరఖాస్తు చేసేది రోబో కాదని నిర్ధారించేందుకు చూపిన సంఖ్యలు లేదా ఆంగ్ల అక్షరాలను అక్కడి ఖాళీ పెట్టెలో నింపాలి.
అలా నింపి కిందే ఉన్న సబ్‌మిట్‌ బటన్‌ను ఎంచుకోవాలి. దీంతో దరఖాస్తుదారుడి సెల్‌కు మెయిల్‌ వస్తుంది.
అందులో ఉన్న అధికారిక లింక్‌లో యూజర్‌ ఐడీ, పాస్‌వర్డ్‌ ఎంటర్‌ చేసి ఉనికిని నిర్ధారించాలి. తిరిగి మొబైల్‌ యాప్‌లో లాగిన్‌ ఐడీ, పాస్‌వర్డ్‌తో వివరాలు నింపి సబ్‌మిట్‌ను ఎంచుకోవాలి.
అప్పుడు అప్లికెంట్‌ హోమ్‌ పేజీ తెరుచుకుంటుంది. అందులో ‘అప్లై ఫర్‌ ఫ్రెష్‌ పాస్పోర్ట్’ను ఎంచుకోవాలి. దరఖాస్తుదారుడు నివసించే రాష్ట్రం, జిల్లా పేర్లను నింపాలి. పేజీ తెరుచుకున్న తర్వాత ఫ్రెష్‌ పాస్‌వర్డ్‌ని ఎంపిక చేసి, దరఖాస్తు చేసుకునేది సాధారణ, తత్కాల్‌ పాస్పోర్ట్ కోసమా అనే విషయాన్ని నిర్ధారించాలి. బుక్‌లెట్‌లో ఉండాల్సిన పేజీల సంఖ్యలనూ నిర్ధారించుకోవాలి.
కచ్చితమైన వివరాలు ఇవ్వాలి:
- పాస్పోర్ట్ కోసం దరఖాస్తుదారుడు అప్రమత్తంగా వ్యవహరించాల్సిన ప్రక్రియ ఇక్కడి నుంచే ప్రారంభమవుతుంది.
- ఈ దశలో 9 పేజీలతో వివిధ వివరాలను నింపాల్సి ఉంటుంది.
- వేగంతో కూడిన కచ్చితమైన వివరాలను పొందుపర్చాలి.
- వివరాలు ఇవ్వడంలో ఆలస్యం చేస్తే సెషన్‌ గడువు ముగుస్తుంది.
- తిరిగి దరఖాస్తు ప్రక్రియను మొదటి నుంచి ప్రారంభించాల్సి ఉంటుంది.
- తొలి పేజీ నుంచి వివరాలు నింపి, సేవ్, నెక్ట్స్ బటన్‌ను మాత్రమే ఎంచుకోవాలి.
- వివరాలన్నింటినీ నింపిన తర్వాత 9వ పేజీలో సబ్‌మిట్‌ బటన్‌ను ఎంచుకుంటే పాస్పోర్ట్ ప్రివ్యూ కనిపిస్తుంది.
- దరఖాస్తుదారుడికి మంజూరయ్యే పాస్పోర్ట్ సమగ్ర రూపమది.
- లోపాలుంటే పేజీల్లో నింపిన వివరాలను వెనక్కు వెళ్లి సరిచేసుకోవాలి.
- తర్వాత అభ్యర్థి పూచీకత్తుతో పాటు పాస్పోర్ట్ కార్యాలయం అధికారులు తనిఖీ చేసే సమయంలో చూపబోయే ధ్రువీకరణ పత్రాలను అప్‌లోడ్‌ చేసి సమర్పించాలి.
ఒరిజినల్‌ పత్రాలు సిద్ధంగా ఉంచుకోవాలి :
- అప్‌లోడ్‌ తర్వాత తిరిగి హోమ్‌పేజీకి చేరతాం. అక్కడ యూజర్‌ అప్లికేషన్‌పై క్లిక్‌ చేయాలి. అభ్యర్థి దరఖాస్తుపై ఉండే 3 చుక్కలను క్లిక్‌ చేస్తే ‘పే అండ్‌ షెడ్యూల్‌ అపాయింట్‌మెంట్‌’ కనిపిస్తుంది.
- పాస్పోర్ట్ దరఖాస్తుకు ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించిన రుసుంను సదరు ఎంపికలో చెల్లించాలి. వాటిని ఆన్‌లైన్‌ నుంచే చేయాలి.
- అక్కడితో పాస్పోర్ట్ దరఖాస్తు పూర్తిస్థాయిలో ముగిసినట్లే.
- అభ్యర్థి ఏఆర్‌ఎన్‌ ముందస్తు దరఖాస్తు పత్రాన్ని ప్రింట్‌ తీసుకుని తనిఖీ అధికారులకుచూపాల్సిన ఒరిజినల్‌ పత్రాలతో సమీపంలోని పాస్పోర్ట్ సేవా కేంద్రానికి వెళ్లాలి.
- అక్కడి కార్యాలయ ప్రక్రియ ముగుస్తుంది.
- నిర్ణీత తేదీకి పోలీసుల పరిశీలన పూర్తవుతుంది.
- కొద్ది రోజుల్లోనే పాస్పోర్ట్ పోస్ట్‌ ద్వారా దరఖాస్తుదారుడి ఇంటికి చేరుతుంది.
సలహాలు.. సూచనలకు కాల్‌ సెంటర్‌
యాప్‌ ద్వారా సేవలు పొందే వారికి కాల్‌ సెంటర్‌ భరోసా ఉంది. సలహాలు, సూచనల కోసం దరఖాస్తుదారులు.1800–258–1800 నంబరులో ప్రతినిధులను సంప్రదించవచ్చు.
కాల్‌ సెంటర్‌ సేవలు పూర్తిగా ఉచితం. ఉదయం 8 నుంచి రాత్రి 10 గంటల మధ్య ఈ సేవలను సద్వినియోగం చేసుకోవచ్చు.
ప్రజల సేవ కోసం ఆటోమేటెడ్‌ ఇంటర్‌యాక్టివ్‌ వాయిస్‌ రెస్పాన్స్‌ (ఐవీఆర్‌ఎస్‌) సౌలభ్యం 24 గంటలూ అందుబాటులో ఉంటుంది.
బహుళ ప్రయోజనాలు:
- ఎం–పాస్పోర్ట్ సేవ యాప్‌ బహుళ ప్రయోజనాలతో కూడుకుని ఉంది.
- కొత్తగా నమోదు చేసుకునే వారికే కాకుండా పాస్పోర్ట్ వినియోగదారులందరికీ ఈ యాప్‌ ఎన్నో ప్రయోజనాలను అందిస్తుంది.
- పాస్పోర్ట్ దరఖాస్తు చేసిన తర్వాత మంజూరయ్యాక దరఖాస్తుదారుడి చిరునామాకు చేరే లోపు ప్రభుత్వం, అభ్యర్థి చిరునామాకు పంపిన తేదీ, ఏ రోజు ఎక్కడి వరకు చేరింది అనే అంశాలను ‘స్టేటస్‌ ట్రాకర్‌’ ద్వారా తెలుసుకోవచ్చు.
- దరఖాస్తులు పరిశీలనకు హాజరుకావాల్సిన తేదీని ‘అపాయింట్‌మెంట్‌ అవైలబుల్‌’ అనే ఎంపికలో గుర్తించవచ్చు.
- పాస్పోర్ట్ దరఖాస్తుకు అవసరమైన ధ్రువీకరణ పత్రాలేవి అనే విషయాన్ని ‘డాక్యుమెంట్‌ అడ్వయిజరీ’ తెలియజేస్తుంది.
- పేజీలు ఇతర అంశాలను బట్టి నిర్ణయించే పాస్పోర్ట్ రుసుంను ‘ఫీ కాలుక్యులేటర్‌’ ద్వారా తెలుసుకోవచ్చు.
- దరఖాస్తులో తలెత్తే అనుమానాల నివృత్తి కోసం ‘ఎఫ్‌ఏక్యూ’ ద్వారా నివృత్తి చేసుకోవచ్చు.

The external affairs ministry has now simplified passport application process, making it easier for Indian citizens to get passport from anywhere in India. Here are the steps to apply for a passport under the new rules:
1. Go to the passport website and fill in the passport application form after creating a user ID on the website. Alternatively, you can also download ‘mPassport Seva App’, available both on Android and iOS platforms, to apply directly from your mobile phone.
2. You can choose which Regional Passport Office (RPO), Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) you want to go to in-person for processing of your passport application. Earlier, a passport applicant had to visit the RPO or PSK in the city mentioned in his documents but now you can now choose where you want to apply for a passport, irrespective of the city of your stay. For example, a resident of Jaipur, who is temporarily residing in Kolkata, will now be able to apply at a PSK or POPSK under the RPO, Kolkata, and will not have to travel all the way back to Jaipur to submit an application for a passport at a PSK or POPSK under the Jaipur RPO.
3. While submitting the passport application, one can pay the application fees and even schedule appointments for acquiring a passport through the mobile app.
4. In case if police verification is required, it would be conducted at the address specified in the application form. The passport will be printed and despatched by the regional passport office selected for application submission by the applicant to the address specified in the passport application.
5. At present, there are 307 Passport Seva Kendras all over India where you can apply for passport. You can go to the passport office website and find out your nearest Passport Seva Kendras using either city name or your PIN code.
List of Documents Required for Fresh Passport Issuance :
Note: Applicants are advised to visit their jurisdictional passport office's home page under Passport Office Page to know about additional documents required, if any. Applicants are required to furnish original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies of the same at the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) for processing.
Minor: It is assumed that consent of both parents is available, unless specified.For minor applicants, present address proof document in the name of parent(s) can be submitted.It is advised to carry original and self-attested copies of parents passport to Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), in case parents possess passport. For minor applicants, documents can be attested by parents. The minor applicant is eligible for Non-ECR till he/she attains the age of 18 years.
ECR/ECNR
ECR stands for Emigration Check Required and ECNR stands for Emigration Check Not Required.
ECR status will be printed in the passport of the applicants who fall in the ECR category.For those falling in the Non-ECR category, there will be no specific mention in the passport. The practice of putting Non-ECR (previously ECNR) stamp has been discontinued.
