CII Confederation of Indian Industry-Telangana to impart IT skills to 5,000 Teachers
The Confederation of Indian Industry-Telangana (CII-TS) on Friday said it will be training 5,000 government teachers across the State in basic IT skills. Towards this, the industry body signed a memorandum of understanding with the State Department of School Education. The project is to be implemented in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and CII member companies.
About 500 corporate volunteers will be involved in the project, which will be first rolled out in Hyderabad and over time expanded to Warangal, Nizamabad and Karimnagar. The MoU was signed by T. Vijay Kumar, Director, Department of Education, and V. Rajanna, past chairman of CII Telangana and senior vice-president and Global Head – Technology Business Unit of TCS in the presence of B. Janardhan Reddy, Secretary, Department of Education, and G.D. Priyadarshini,
Consultant, to the Department, a release from CII said. Appreciating the efforts of TCS and CII member companies to collaborate with Education Department, Mr. Reddy said they would contribute to bring a positive change in the society.
The CSR portal recently launched by the Department of Education is receiving good response, he said, expressing a hope to collaborate with more corporates to address the needs of the government schools. Mr. Rajanna said this is the first and important step of training teachers on basic computing skills. Mr. Vijay Kumar said coding skills training has been initiated by the Department for the school students. Noting that children are quick learners, he appealed to corporates to impart technical skills to the students.

*ప్రభుత్వ ఉన్నత పాఠశాలల ఉపాధ్యాయులకు ఐటీ నైపుణ్యాల్లో శిక్షణ ఇవ్వాలని టాటా కన్సల్టెన్సీ సర్వీసెస్‌ (టీసీఎస్‌) నిర్ణయించింది. విద్యాబోధనను మరింత ఆకర్షణీయంగా, సమర్థంగా చేయడంతో పాటు పాఠశాల నిర్వహణ విధులను సులభతరం చేయడం వల్ల బోధనపైనే దృష్టి సారించేందుకు ఉపాధ్యాయులు, ప్రధానోపాధ్యాయులకు వీలవుతుందని సంస్థ పేర్కొంది. ప్రభుత్వంతో పాటు కాన్ఫెడరేషన్‌ ఆఫ్‌ ఇండియన్‌ ఇండస్ట్రీ (సీఐఐ)ని కూడా ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో భాగస్వాములను చేసింది. తొలుత తెలంగాణా రాష్ట్రంలోనే ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని చేపడుతుండగా, క్రమంగా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌కు కూడా విస్తరించాలన్నది సంస్థ ప్రణాళిక.*
*వారంలో రెండు రోజుల పాటు ఉపాధ్యాయులకు ఈ శిక్షణ ఉంటుంది. పాఠ్యాంశాల బోధన (థియరీ)తో పాటు ల్యాబ్‌లో ప్రాక్టికల్‌ శిక్షణ కూడా ఉంటుంది. ఇందుకోసం 100 మంది వాలంటీర్ల (సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్‌ ఉద్యోగుల)ను టీసీఎస్‌ కేటాయిస్తోంది. మొత్తం 500 మంది వాలంటీర్లు కావాలి కనుక ఇతర సాఫ్ట్‌వేర్‌ సంస్థలనూ భాగస్వాములను చేస్తామని పేర్కొంది. తొలివిడతగా హైదరాబాద్‌, రంగారెడ్డి జిల్లాల్లోని 67 మంది ఉపాధ్యాయులకు శిక్షణను శనివారం హైదరాబాద్‌లోని టీసీఎస్‌ సినర్జీ పార్కులో ప్రారంభించారు. ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం ముగిసేలోపు 5,000 మంది ఉపాధ్యాయులకు ఐటీ నైపుణ్యాల్లో శిక్షణ ఇవ్వాలన్నది తమ ప్రణాళిక అని టీసీఎస్‌ సీనియర్‌ వైస్‌ ప్రెసిడెంట్‌ వి.రాజన్న తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని 33 జిల్లాల పాఠశాలల ఉపాధ్యాయులకు శిక్షణ ఇస్తామని, ప్రతి పాఠశాల నుంచి ఆసక్తి కలిగిన చురుకైన ఉపాధ్యాయుడు/ఉపాధ్యాయురాలిని ఎంపిక చేసే బాధ్యత విద్యాశాఖ అధికారులదేనని వివరించారు.*
*హైదరాబాద్‌ సమీపంలోని వారికి టీసీఎస్‌ ప్రాంగణంలో, ఇతర ప్రాంతాల వారికి ఆ సమీప ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ కళాశాలలు, ఐఐఐటీ వంటి ఉన్నత విద్యాసంస్థలను ఇందుకోసం వినియోగిస్తామన్నారు. వీరితో అనుసంధాన బాధ్యతలను సీఐఐ చూసుకుంటుంది.*

*ఎంఎస్‌ ఆఫీస్‌లోని వర్డ్‌, పవర్‌పాయింట్‌ ప్రెజెంటేషన్‌ ఎక్సెల్‌ షీట్‌తో పాటు అధికారులతో ఉత్తర ప్రత్యుత్తరాలు మెయిల్‌ ద్వారా ఎలా సమర్థంగా రాయాలో తెలుపుతారు. విద్యార్థులకు సిలబస్‌ ప్రణాళిక, టైమ్‌టేబుల్‌, హాజరు, మార్కుల పట్టికలు, పాఠశాల సిబ్బంది వేతన పట్టికలు రూపొందించడం బాగా సులువవుతుందని వివరించారు.*
