Staff Selection Commission SSC JE Recruitment 2023: Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer 2023 Exam was scheduled for Engineering, Diploma candidates Junior Engineers (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) for various Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. As per the official notification released by SSC, the online submission of Application Form for Junior Engineer (JE) 2023 has been commenced from 26th July 2023 till 16th August 2023.

Selection Procedure:

  1. The selection of the candidates will be based on the Computer Based Examination
  2. The Examination will consist of two Papers i.e. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive Type). Details of these Papers are as follows:
  3. General Intelligence and Reasoning – 25 Questions & 50 Marks
  4. General Awareness – 25 Questions & 50 Marks
  5. General Awareness Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic) – 25 Questions & 50 Marks
  6. English Language (Basic Knowledge) – 25 Questions & 50 Marks

SSC JE Exam Pattern for Tier 1

Tier I or Paper I consists of three sections, namely- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and General Engineering. The paper carries 200 marks and has a total time duration of 2 hours.

SSC JE Exam Pattern for Tier 2

Tier II or Paper II consists of one section i.e. General Engineering. The paper carries 300 marks and has a total time duration of 3 hours.

SSC JE recruitment 2023 : Age Limit

  1. Upper Age Limit for posts in Department is 27 years. 
  2. Upper age linit for posts in Central Water Commission, and Central Public Works Department is 32 years, Upper age limit for posts in all other Departments is 30 years.

Relaxation in Upper Age-Limit :

Relaxation in upper Age-limit admissible to eligible categories of applicants is given below: Applicants are required to indicate appropriate detail/category code in column No. 12 & 12.1 of the online Application Form.
  1. SC/ ST – 5 years
  2. OBC – 3 years
  3. PwD – 10 years
  4. PwD + OBC – 13 years
  5. PwD + SC/ ST – 15 years
  6. Ex-Servicemen (ExS) – 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date.
  7. Candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during – 5 years.

Application Fee Details :

  1. Examination Fee can be paid by SBI Challan Only.
  2. The application fees for SSC JE is Rs 100 for general category applicants. 
  3. Women and applicants belonging to SC/ST, Physically Handicapped or Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the application fees.

  • Step 1: Go to the official SSC website (https://ssc.nic.in/) or click on the official link for SSC JE mentioned above on this page.
  • Step 2: A new window will open with the SSC JE 2023 registration link.
  • Step 3: Select the New User/Register Now option.
  • Step 4: To begin the SSC JE Apply Online 2023, a candidate must enter essential information about themselves such as their name, parents' names, date of birth, email address, cellphone number, and so on.
  • Step 5: Click the submit button to submit your SSC JE 2023 online registration form. Candidates should double-check their information before submitting the form. Each applicant will be given a Registration ID for the SSC JE 2023 test.
  • Step 6: The next stage requires candidates to upload pictures and signatures in accordance with the Staff Selection Commission of India's requirements.
  • Step 7: Log in with your registered ID and password to complete Part II of the SSC JE 2023 application form.
  • Step 8: After completing the application form, applicants must preview the full SSC JE 2023 application once to check for any errors in the form, as once submitted, the application form cannot be altered again.
  • Step 9: After evaluating the completed online SSC JE 2023 application form, click the Final Submit button and pay the needed application cost solely online. Only online payment methods are available for the application cost.
