Filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) (Due date extended to August 31, 2019): The Central Board of District Taxes (CBDT) has extended the due date for filing Income Tax Return on Tuesday by individuals for the year 2019-20 to August 31, 2019 from July 31, 2019
Individuals , who do not need to get their accounts audited are required to file their income tax return by July 31, 2019.
"The 'due date' for filing income-tax returns for assessment year 2019-20 is 31.07.2019 for certain categories of taxpayers. It has been reported that some of the taxpayers are facing difficulties in filing their income tax returns due to various reasons including extension of due date for issue of Form 16 for the assesment year 2019-20
