P.V. Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University offers degree, master's degree and doctorate degrees in veterinary and allied subjects. Polytechnics have been set up to train the youths living in the rural areas in animal husbandry and fisheries, with the intention of making them self-employed. Moreover, there is a great need for good employees to work in animal husbandry and rural development programs in government and non-government organizations. Keeping this need in mind, Animal Husbandry Polytechnics were started in 2005-06 at Mahbubnagar Animal Husbandry Research Station in Mahbubnagar and Karimnagar District. Later in the academic year 2007-08, Animal Husbandry Polytechnic Colleges were started at Siddipet in the joint Medak district and again in the academic year 2010-11 at Mamunur in Hanumakonda district.


How many people will be admitted:
  1. This year 30 students will be admitted in Mahbubnagar, Karimnagar and Siddipet Animal Husbandry Polytechnics and 20 in Mamunur Animal Husbandry Polytechnic and 11 in Bhavdevrapalli Matsya Polytechnic (located in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh government). 
  2. It is enough to fill one form for both courses together. Order of priority should be given. 
  3. In Animal Husbandry Polytechnic Colleges, 10% seats are reserved for economically weaker sections without any reservation.
Eligibility:
  1. Candidates should be citizens of Telangana state. 
  2. Must have passed 10th standard or equivalent examinations and should have been ranked in POLYCET 2023 (MBiPC). 
  3. Candidates who have studied at least four years in school in rural areas (non-municipal area) in Telangana state should apply, for this they have to fill application Form no. A and verify with the principal of the school they attended. Form no. A Incomplete application will not be considered. If the applicant studied in two or more schools, one form for each school no. A should be attached. 
  4. Candidates who have passed class 10th compartment are also eligible to apply for this course.
Important dates:
  1. Opening date of online submission of Application form: 29-05-2023 (10:00 AM)
  2. Closing date of online submission of Application form: 19-06-2023 (05:00 PM)
Payment of application fee: 
  1. Rs. 750/- for OC & BCs 
  2. Rs. 375/- for SC/ST/PH candidates
  3. The applicant has to pay the application fee ONLY through the SBI Collect by selecting credit card / debit card / net banking

Selection Procedure:
  1. Candidates will be selected on the basis of Telangana POLYCET 2023 rank and reservation.
Age:
  1. The candidate who is going to join the polytechnic course should be between the age of 15-22 years as on 31-08-2023. (Should have been born after 31-08-2001 and before 01-09-2008)
Procedure of Reservation:

  • a) 29 percent seats are reserved for Backward Classes (BC) as follows. Category - B.C-A-7%, B.C-B - 10%, B.C-C-1%, B.C-D-7% and B.C-E -4%
  • b) 15 per cent seats reserved for Schedule Castes (SC) and 10 per cent seats for Schedule Tribes (ST).
  • c) 33 1/3 per cent seats reserved for women.
  • d) Additional 10 percent seats reserved for economically weaker sections.
  • e) 3 percent of seats reserved for physically challenged.
  • f) Seats allotted to Ex-Servicemen, Defense personnel as well as Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force etc. and their children (whose parents have been resident in Telangana State for 5 years)-2 percent.
  • g) National Cadet Corps (NCC)-1 percent.
  • h) Sports - 0.5 percent.
Certificates to be attached:

Online applicants for admission should attach the below mentioned certificates (duplicates) with their application.

i) Hall Ticket and Rank Card obtained in TS POLYCET 2023.
ii) Attested 10th class pass certificate (Grade / Marks certificate) or equivalent examination pass certificate should be attached.
iii) Backward Classes, SC, ST If they belong to s, social class certificate should be filed. Those belonging to economically weaker section should file EWS certificate. Those admitted under these quotas, till the verification by the concerned Govt. Directorate of the respective candidates' social. The level is considered temporary.
iv) Bonofide Study Certificate
Note: Students who have studied indefinitely in a recognized educational institution should attach the certificate issued by the heads of the respective educational institutions.
v)Transfer Certificate from the school where 10th standard was attended in)
vi) Certificate of Study in Rural Area (Form – A) 
vii) One passport size photograph
vii) Inherent Disability (PH) certificate
ix) Certificate (Form - 5/6) in case of Ex-Servicemen / Servicemen
x) Certificate if participating in N.C.C
xi) Certificate if participating in sports (State / National / International level only)
xii) Copy of application fee paid by SBI Collect.

Candidates selected for admission should submit the following original documents at the time of admission.

A. Hall Ticket and Rank Card obtained in Telangana POLYCET 2023.
B. Certificate from school attended.
C. Transfer Certificate from the school attended in 10th standard
D. Grade/marks certificate issued by Board of Secondary Education (S.S.C.) or equivalent.
E. Candidates from B.C., S.C., S.T. Or social status certificate if belonging to EWS classes.
F. Certificate of Inherent Obstruction (PH).
G. Certificate if participating in N.C.C.
H. Certificate if participating in Sports (District / State / National / International Level only) (Form – 1/2 /3/4)
I. Locality Certificate.
J. Certificate of Study in Rural Area (Form – A)
K. Ex-Servicemen / Servicemen Certificate (Form – 5/6)

How to fill Online Application for Animal Husbandary and Fishery Polytechnic?
  1. The candidate should visit the website: www.tsvu.edu.in
  2. Under New Registration, the candidate should enter the TS POLYCET 2023 Rank, valid Mobile No. & Email. ID and Set his/ her password.
  3. Enter OTP that is received to your Mobile Number
  4. The Applicant should Login using email & password
  5. The candidate must fill up all the details
  6. The candidate should upload all relevant documents
  7. (Bonafide / study conduct certificates – student has to upload 1-10th class certificates. If studied in only one school from 1-10th class, same copy has to be uploaded at each column.)
  8. Next, Verify details & then click on check box
  9. Now, Pay the required application fee through SBI collect Save the payment receipt in pdf
  10. Once again login using email & password
  11. Enter the SBI collect Reference Number, Date of Payment and
  12. upload copy of payment receipt in pdf
  13. Print the application and save for future reference

Fees:

Those who get admission in polytechnics have to pay the following fees.

University Fund:

• Tuition fees Rs.530/- once per semester
• Entrance feen Rs. 170/- (First year only)
• Examination fee Rs.290/- once per semester
• Diploma pass certificate Rs. 530/-
• Medical fee Rs. 290/- once per semester.
• Student Conduct and Disciplinary Rules Book Rs. 130/-


University Other Fund:

• Laboratory cost Rs. 280/- will be refunded at the time of leaving the Polytechnic
• The price of the library is Rs. 230/- will be refunded at the time of leaving the Polytechnic
• Games fee Rs. 250/- (once per semester)
• Student programs Rs.820/- (per year)
• Rs.230/- for Examinations (once per semester)
• Students Welfare Fund Rs.320/- (at the time of admission only)
• Old student fund of Rs.700/- to be paid in the last semester of the course
• Insurance plan Rs. 980/- per annum (including first semester fee)
• Transfer Certificate Rs. 150/-
• Conduct Certificate Rs. 150/-
• Bonafide Certificate Rs. 160/-

Hostel Fees:

Those who get admission in polytechnics have to pay the following fees for hostels.

• Hostel accommodation is priced at Rs.5760/- (on arrival only).
• Cost Rs.5760/- (on arrival only) for meal
• Hostel staff expenses etc. Rs.450/- per month
• Room rent Rs.890/- (once per semester)
