Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha is a Deemed University in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The school was established in 1956 under Ministry of Education by Government of India to propagate Sanskrit studies, traditional Sastras and Pedagogy. The University offers traditional programmes in Sahitya, Vyakarana, Jyotisha, Nyaya, Advaita Vedanta, Vishistadvaita Vedanta, Dvaita Vedanta, Agama, Mimamsa, Sankhya Yoga etc., along with modern subjects like Computer Science, Mathematics, History etc.

The Professional Programmes offered in the university are Siksha Sastri (B.Ed.) and Siksha Acharya (M.Ed.) monitored by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Other programmes leading to Diploma, P.G.Diploma and Research Degrees are also offered under various faculties.
Admission to all the UG and PG courses are based on the merit of the student considering their qualifying examination results as well as Personal Interview. For admission to B.Ed, M.Ed, Ph.D programmes, the university conducts different entrance tests.
