Admission: Admission in B.Ed at AU shall be done by the candidate will be required to submit the filled-in application form with attested copy of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form
AU B.Ed admission Eligibility: Applicant must passed B.A./B.Sc. or an equivalent degree at graduate level depending on the requirements for the particular course. The eligibility for admission is 45% aggregate in the qualifying degree examination. The regulations prescribed by the State Government with regard to minimum eligibility criteria and reservation policies may be taken into consideration. Admission through EdCET.
How to apply in B.Ed at AU:
1. Andhra University are hereby requested to obtain the latest Examination application forms by downloading from A.U. Website (http://www.andhrauniversity.info/exams/appl.html) along with a consolidated DD @ Rs. 30/- towards the registration charges of each application. Please collect the examination fee from the Candidates as detalied in the examination application form and submit a consolidated DD on the dates specified, after following the other formalities and submit the applications through a messenger on any working day as in the case of previous years.
2. Fees Payable :
A. Whole Examination Fee (including Stationery fee and Marks Statement
fee for Regular Candidates) Rs. 420-00
Provisional Certificate 50-00
The Candidates who appear first time have to pay the following fee along with examination fee.
I. Rs. 165/- for Hi-Tech. Provisional Certificate-cum-Consolidated Marks
II. Rs. 440/- for Hi-Tech. Degree Certificate Rs. 605-00
Total fee for (Fresh) Candidates who appear first time Rs. 1075-00
B. Examination Fee (For Supplementary Candidates who fails and to appear after completion of the course of study)
I. Stationery fee Rs. 110-00
II. Each Subject (Theory/Practical) Rs. 90-00
C. Recognition Fee for other Universities Rs. 250-00
AU B.Ed Entrance Test: All Applicant must passed Common Entrance Test. The common entrance test will be of objective type mcq (multiple choice question) examination. Candidate has to answer 150 questions in two hours time. The Common Entrance Test will be held following Part A,B and C
Part-A: General English – 25 mcq = 1 Marks/ Questions Total= 25 Marks
Part-B:
General Knowledge – 15 mcq = 1 Marks/ Questions Total= 15 marks
Teaching Aptitude – 10 mcq 1 Marks/ Questions Total= 10 marks
Part-C: Methodology: Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects. It consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.
Subject 1 – Mathematics – 100 mcq 1 Marks/ Questions Total= 100 marks
Subject 2 – Physical Sciences– 100 1 Marks/ Questions Total= 100 marks
Physics – 50 1 Marks/ Questions Total= 50 marks
Chemistry – 50 1 Marks/ Questions Total= 50 marks
Subject 3- Biological Sciences– 100 1 Marks/ Questions Total= 100 marks
Botany – 50 mcq 1 Mark/ Questions Total= 50 marks
Zoology – 50 1 Mark/ Questions Total= 50 marks
Subject 4 Social Studies– 100 mcq questions for 100 marks
Geography – 35 1 Mark/ Questions Total= 35 marks
